Hypocrisy and Sincerity

Run Time: 14:20.  Gospel: Mt 21:28-32.

Sincerity is a basic human virtue, where … we do what we say and say what we do. Hypocrisy, on the other hand, makes us blind to this truthfulness. Blind to God’s presence in our lives. Sincerity opens our eyes to see Him everywhere and in everyone. And so, if we desire to be sincere, then there are a couple areas in our lives where we can strive concretely for this. First of all, sincerity in our relationship with God. After all, one of the attributes of God is being omniscient – all knowing. So we must never try, really, in our relationship with Him to try to impress Him, or to put a show on for Him – He knows everything there is to know about us, even those things we find it difficult to admit to ourselves. When we are sincere with our relationship with Him, it is then in that humility that He can touch our hearts with His transforming grace.
