The object of the Legion of Mary is the glory of God through the holiness of its members, and active cooperation in Mary's and the Church's work of crushing the head of the serpent and advancing the reign of Christ.

The Legion of Mary (Legio Mariae) was founded in Dublin, Ireland, on September 7, 1921. We are a group of men and women. Our recently-formed praesidium meets every Thursday from 6:30 pm-8:00 pm. These meetings are the heartbeat of our Apostolate, and each meeting renews us in our resolve to go out in the service of Our Lady.

Members of the Legion are called upon to practice the Spiritual Works of Mercy, which include:

• The conversion of sinners.
• The instruction of the ignorant.
• The counseling of the wayward.
• The comforting of the sorrowing.
• The bearing of adversities patiently.
• The forgiving of offenses.
• Prayers for the living and the dead.

Led by the Holy Spirit and Mary our Mother, our praesidium assists St. Mary parishioners with the Enthronement of the Sacred Heart in their family homes.
